Dee is a female vocalist, composer and producer from the Netherlands. She writes, arranges and produces all of her music herself, while collaborating closely with top international musicians and engineers.

​Her love for Old-School Songs from the seventies by legendary singers like Gladys Knight, Randy Crawford & Patti Austin strongly influenced how she operates both as a composer and producer and has been a powerful force in her development as a musician and songwriter.
Her style is hard to pinpoint—a blend of vintage pop, jazz, and a smooth seventies soundscapes, yet unlike any of them. With her French background, Dee occasionally writes French chansons as well.

Inspired by recordings from her childhood -often produced by Quincy Jones- Dee aims to capture a vintage soulful sound combined with an old-fashioned approach towards songwriting. She focusses on strong melodies, supported by surprising harmonies, all while maintaining a strong groove.
To create a spacious, authentic sound, she uses a minimum amount of plugins, presets & filters. She records and mixes the old-fashioned way, working exclusively with real instruments and carefully selecting the best musicians for each part. Backing Vocals with unusual voicings are an essential part of her arrangements.
Dee is a composer, producer and arranger who works with top musicians from both The Netherlands & The US.
