Dee is a Netherlands-based composer & producer who writes, arranges, and produces all of her music herself.
No writing camps. No co-writers. Just her.
She works with carefully selected international musicians. All music is mixed and mastered by sound engineer Tom Gelissen.
From the first draft at the piano to the final mix, Dee oversees every aspect of her arrangements with a clear, meticulous vision. She knows exactly what she wants, guiding musicians to bring that vision to life.

The Core Project
Dee’s main project contains a broad collection of fully arranged & produced songs that blend the warm, soulful-grooves of the late seventies and early eighties with rich jazz chords. Built on strong melodies, multiple layered harmonies, and a deep sense of groove, she seamlessly weaves soul, jazz, and pop into a warm signature sound rooted in the tradition of old-school songwriting.
The Production & Identity
As a producer, she strives for a spacious, authentic soundscape, relying on minimal plugins, presets, or filters. Her backing vocals, often built on unconventional voicings, are a defining element of all her arrangements. A unique feature in Dee’s production: she layers her own voice to mimic brass, wah, and string sections.
The Musicianship
Every composition is born at the piano. Dee arranges and directs each instrumental part and on some recordings performs the keys herself. Working exclusively with live instruments, she carefully selects the musicians for each role to bring her vision to life. All music is mixed and mastered in collaboration with acclaimed sound engineer Tom Gelissen.
